Woods Hollow Children's Center is a nonprofit child care center sponsored by Promega Corporation and Fitchburg Center. The center opened in September of 1991 and has been serving families from surrounding communities in addition to Promega families since that time. With ongoing support from Promega, Woods Hollow is dedicated to providing a program that offers excellence in early childhood education. As a NAEYC Accredited center since 1996, Woods Hollow sets a standard of high quality care and learning experiences which are developmentally appropriate for children 6 weeks through third grade.
Architecturally, the Center is composed of "houses" grouped around a "winter garden." Each House is home to a particular age group. The winter garden functions as a common area to be used by all as a gathering place for various activities throughout the day. Outdoor spaces are also divided to create both age group specific and common areas. Natural landscaping welcomes active, inquisitive play; pathways, sand pits, and slides built into hills offer endless options to growing bodies.
Woods Hollow Children's Center is open to the general public. Enrollment opportunities are full-time only.
